Rigel Livingston was born in Santa Cruz, California, in 1986. At age 14 he began building his first house with his father—a house he later lived in and that still stands on his dad's property.
Rigel has experience with nearly every facet of construction. Foundations, earth retention, excavation and concrete are his specific areas of expertise. He has earned multiple certifications in the use of helical anchors in foundation and earth retention applications and is an expert in in all stages of concrete construction from forming to pumping to finishing. In addition to residential projects, Rigel has completed work for the University of California and County of Santa Cruz, California, has built retention ponds for commercial farms, and has worked on environmental remediation projects, restoring land to its natural state after the closure of a limestone quarry.
In 2021, Rigel and his now-wife, Jill, purchased a home in Na’alehu and along with their yellow lab, Cooper, two cats and three dirt bikes made the move to the Big Island. When he’s not working, Rigel loves riding dirt bikes, working around his property, and enjoying island life. Although they are relative newcomers, Rigel and Jill feel a deep aloha and respect for Hawaii, the ʻāina, and all the people who call this land home.
